Response to a sound of thunder

At first when I was reading the beginning of the story i didn't understand it. Later on when I was reading I understood it was about time traveling. The story was interesting and grabbed my attention. What I liked from the story was the part where they go to past and see dinosaurs and hunt them.

I'm self-reliant

I think that Emerson's essay is mostly about believing in what we think is right and to not believe what society wants us to believe. There's some things that he wrote that I didn't understand well.

Letter to a Mentor draft 1

Dear Mentor,

I want to know how did life begin. How did everything get started? How was everything created? I really want to know how life began, if life started since the day we were born or did life started years ago. There could be different people who think differently than me or have an answer to my question.

Mistakes for president

The debate was very strong. What I didn't like was that Trump was interrupting Clinton some of the time. I liked how Clinton was explaining everything so well and I was happy that she won the first debate.

My Aeries

My grade on my essay was not what I expected and my reaction was surprising because I thought I was going to get a lower grade.
I received the grade that I got because I needed more diction and syntax on the essay.
I agree on the grade that i received.
The grade that I have earned on this first grading period is maybe a B because I think I could have been posting more on my blog.
The work that I have done on this course is the journals.

"The Conscience of the hacker" response

The story is about a hacker who got arrested and he was called a criminal. The hacker mentioned that we are all the same and that a lot of times they call us criminals for small little reasons. For example for exploring, seeking knowledge, and other reasons. He also says that they are the ones who build atomic bombs, cheat, and make everyone else see that it's for there own good, but still they us criminals. I agree with the hacker in his way of thinking and his way of seeing life.

"Young Goodman Brown" Respnse

Young Goodman Brown was confusing and also long to read. I didn't read everything but I understood some of it. Goodman was going to a journey and left his wife Faith. While he was on his journey he wasn't alone he had company.

Big question

How did life begin?

Ancient stories

1. The language in the story " The Earth on Turtle's Back " is basic because it's easy to picture in your mind and easy to understand. When it comes to comparing it to my language it's not hard because they use common grammar to the ones we use today.

2. I only had to read the story ones because I was so interested and understood it the first time. There's other times where I have to read the stories more than twice and I still won't get it but I try my best to understand the stories.

The Earth on Turtle's Back

The story "The Earth on Turtle's back" is a very interesting story because it's talking about how the wife fell into a hole and some birds caught her so she wouldn't fall. They were trying to bring her back up to earth. A lot of them tried but couldn't reach the bottom so then the muskrat went down and reached the bottom. When she did she went back up to the surface and then holding her paw so tight everyone knew that she had earth on her paw. They asked themselves where they could put it so the great turtle offered his back. They noticed that it grew bigger and bigger until it became the whole earth.
